I am trying to modify the predefined 45 day increasing channel scan to return all stocks where the entire candle body is below the lower channel boundary. I can't seem to get the syntax right. Will someone please share their expertise with me?

meaning you can't change the predefined scans or there is no way to write the scan I want?

Could clarify what you are trying to modify.... ie the "predefined 45 day increasing channel scan" ???... are you referring to the Donchian Channels ? ... or Keltner ??? . or Linear Regression ... or ????

... also you stated ... "all stocks where the entire candle body is below the lower channel boundary" ...... and by this you really mean you are disregarding the high and the low (unless, of coures, it coincides with the open and/or close) ... correct ?

CHETRON .... thanks, thats interesting, ... I refer to that as "TRENDING", or "BANDING".,,, that could have some potential.

Is Yepher still around ? ... his page of StockFetcher commands was awesome ... but it seems to be gone.

Can someone help with writing this from scratch? There has to be a way to scan for stocks in a 45 day increasing slope channel and a CLOSE below the lower boundary , no?

Push, the closest thing to what you're looking for might be linear regression channel
