Can anybody tell me where to look or how to figure what the best criteria for looking for stocks to strangle in the morning? I have built a couple filters for these but not really sure what the best indicators to use for this.

I would guess TRO's RFR scan might be a good place to start...just change it so you only get optionable stocks. You're looking for stocks that have a big move, regardless of the direction, right?

Thanks for that info. I've been on vacation. I'll look for that scan.

I made this scan, but it seems really picky. I think I have good results though. can anybody think of anything better? It just seems too simple.

show stocks where the day range is above 10%
average (90) day volumen is 1000000
 stock is optionable
atr (30) is greater than 5
atr (5) is greater than 4
 add column sector
 add column industry
